I happened to notice this surprise display of the northern lights during the early morning hours of June 7, 2006, so I headed west of the city with my camera. The display suddenly flared up while I was driving, so I pulled over at the nearest spot where I had a good view and set up the camera. I then found myself standing at the end of someone's driveway, photographing 30-second exposures of their home at 2 AM. Does that qualify as "creepy"? Maybe, but it's their fault for putting their house in front of the northern lights.

A 30 second exposure with ISO1600...that had to be a noise disaster.
Anyways, hmm, yes slightly creepy, but not done before. I have to ask though, how does someone know where not to put ones house so that it does not block the view of the northern lights? ;D

Yes, the lack of noise is amazing. Beautiful shot, the house adds to the ET-like atmosphere. :)

Oooooh... No, no, I think the house makes a really nice silhouette in front of the nothern lights. ^^ Maybe if they used this picture to advertise their house, they'd fetch higher prices. =D
