Just freaking AMAZING! I just really love the look of the hay bales on the field :D The grass and the bales are what draw my attention from the start.

Your shots always have fantastic skies...All we get here right now is flat and dull and grey....although I see this was taken a few summers ago, so perhaps you're only getting boring skies there as well

Thanks. We usually get our best skies here during the summer, but good skies are hard to come by in the winter. We're situated right at the southeastern corner of Lake Superior, and so we get almost nothing but lake-effect snow and cloud cover during the coldest winter months. Then when we do get a clear day, it's usually 100% clear with not a cloud to be seen, which doesn't make for very interesting photographs. There doesn't seem to be much middle ground at all, either cloudy or clear.

Yeah, it's the same here...either flat cloud or clear blue. Still, summer is on the way :-)

It's great - is it HDR?

Thanks. I didn't use any automated HDR software for it, but I did bracket a series of different exposures and then combined them as layers in Photoshop to attain a higher dynamic range.

lovely!
great colors & composition
was sure that was taken with wide angle
because of the coulds shape, supporise
to see 55mm.
anyway doesn't matter much, great job!

Thanks. It's actually a series of shots at 55mm that have been stitched together. I have no idea why I chose to shoot it in that manner, when I probably could have just got it all in one frame at 18mm.
