Ice crystals in thin cirrus clouds produce a halo around the moon on a cold night in the middle of winter.

This would almost qualify as a self-portrait if I hadn't set the focus on the sky and I had done a better job of standing still during the exposure.

Actually, I think de-emphasising you and throwing the focus onto the sky was absolutely the right choice.
