Artist's Comments

Dusk at Bamford Island in the St. Joseph Channel. The colors in this shot have not been altered. The long exposure just picked up these deep shades of purple that were not evident to the unaided eye.

nice colours again and boy does it feel cold, despite that misleading warmth in the sky :-)

Very nice. The contrast between the reds and blues is great.

Really lovely - I like the composition. Do you think the colour enhancement might also be coming out because of a slight underexposure?
:icontfavretto:
I'm not sure. I shoot with auto white-balance, so it may have something to do with that. I find that shadows tend to come out with a bluish tint in my photos, so it could just be an extension of that. The colors in the sky could have resulted from light being scattered and reflected in the atmosphere numerous times before it hit them. I exposed this shot for the sky, but I had other shots from that evening that had more balanced exposures, and they still display the same colors.
