Description
There are two ways to cross the border between Canada and the United States at Sault Ste. Marie - by train, over a series of small truss bridges, or by vehicle, over the International Bridge. Both of these routes are shown in this photo, taken less than half a kilometer north of the Canada/U.S. border.
It had become VERY dark by the time I took this shot, and unfortunately I did not happen to have a tripod with me at the time. I took a few shots on ISO 1600 at around 1/10 of a second, just holding the camera by hand and hoping for the best. I didn't really expect any of them to be usable due to camera shake, but I was fortunate to find that this one turned out okay. I was also fortunate that the noise removal process didn't detract too much from the detail in the photo, which is a problem I've had to deal with in many of my other images.
